In 2007, I loved reading blogs. What I wanted to do, though, was read those writers about a topic. I wanted to get different voices on the latest FireFox and its features and things missing. What were people doing with jQuery? And so on. I registered BlogsReader.com and then tried to make it work. And I couldn't. I tried pattern matching but my results were just not good enough. Many blogs didn't use categories or topics at all. A lot of times it was "General". Reluctantly, I put BlogsReader on the shelf. This year, I started working with LLMs. And I think I have something. It's not perfect but you can search by topics. If you register — you don't have to — but if you do, the system will tell you the number of new posts on your topics. Advantages of BlogsReader: Disadvantages: As time has marched on, social media got more and more influential. Almost 20 years later, the internet is a much bigger place. There might be as many blogs now as there were then, but my guess is that there's significantly fewer. That makes me sad.
